MATSUNO-MORI
Founder
In January 2025, my mother and I founded MATSUNO-MORI together.
My mother is skilled in sewing, and my grandmother was also a traditional kimono tailor. For three generations, needle and thread have been part of our family’s story.
Since childhood, I have loved fashion.
Over the years, I imported clothing from Europe and Asia, selling everything from luxury brands to fast fashion. Yet a question gradually began to grow in my mind.
If we buy clothes simply because they are inexpensive and discard them just as easily, can that truly be called richness?
Today in Japan, many beautiful silk kimono—some more than a hundred years old—remain quietly preserved.
By bringing together the heritage of Japanese kimono and the brilliance of Indian sari textiles, we seek to create a new form of dress that has never existed before.
To wear history.
To allow tradition to evolve across time.
MATSUNO-MORI is not simply a fashion brand.
When the mind and body return to balance, the way we dress naturally changes.
This is the form of true richness that we believe in.
Today, MATSUNO-MORI is evolving beyond fashion into a cultural initiative that connects beauty, human well-being, and cultural exchange.
Through collaboration with medical professionals and international partners, the project explores new possibilities for wellness, creativity, and learning across cultures.
